MultiDimensional Audio Quality Score (MDAQS) – Fundamentals and Technical Solutions (free online seminar)
MDAQS is a novel method for instrumental evaluation of audio quality. It comprises the key criteria for perceived audio playback quality – timbre, distortion, immersiveness – along with an overall MOS value to allow for quick assessment and good comparability.
The focus of this seminar will be on the general assessment of audio quality and the technological background of the MDAQS method. We will introduce the listening tests that were specifically designed for the development. Some of the core analysis modules that were derived from the results of the listening tests will be explained along with their combination to the final quality scores. Finally, we will describe the general way of using MDAQS. The online seminar will conclude with a short Q&A session.
This is the first seminar in a series of three, two more seminars with a strong focus on specific application scenarios (headphones and car audio systems) will be given in the following weeks.
