Course Objective
This course gives participants a solid understanding of psychoacoustics. They will explore the principles behind the key psychoacoustic parameters and learn how to apply them effectively in real-world engineering projects.
Training Method
This training combines theoretical content with guided practical exercises. Participants work directly with psychoacoustic methods to understand not only the underlying concepts, but also their practical application. To maximize relevance, we ask participants to submit their own recordings in advance. Selected examples will be integrated into the lessons and used during the practical exercises.
Learning Objectives
After completing the course, participants will be able to:
Explain the role and relevance of psychoacoustics in evaluating and predicting perceived sound quality.
Describe key and advanced psychoacoustic parameters, including their technical definitions and real-world applications.
Recognize the interaction between psychoacoustic parameters and usage contexts and interpret results accordingly.

Notes
We ask all participants to bring their own laptop with ArtemiS SUITE installed and a binaural playback system from HEAD acoustics (BPU or equivalent).
All participants will receive a temporary license dongle. This allows full access to the modules required for the acquisition and analysis tasks covered in the practical training sessions.
Please note that the training sessions will be held in Italian.
Assessment method
Knowledge will be assessed using multiple-choice questionnaires, which will be completed at the beginning and end of the course.
