Transfer Path Analysis with ArtemiS SUITE 17.0

When development cycles are getting shorter and noise, vibration and comfort targets lie within ever tighter tolerances, tools are needed that quickly translate data into reliable decisions. ArtemiS SUITE from HEAD acoustics is designed to do just that - and the new version 17.0 of the NVH analysis platform makes transfer path analysis even easier and more efficient with sophisticated technology and streamlined workflows.

An ecosystem for acoustic excellence

ArtemiS SUITE is synonymous with a maximally flexible and targeted modular approach: all relevant sound and vibration analysis applications run in a common environment, from data acquisition and signal processing to reporting, in which several measurement data sets and analysis results can now also be automatically compared with each other - for example across different development stages or in benchmarking with competitor data. Release 17.0 further refines and optimizes this recipe for success. The user interface leads even faster to the goal, project-oriented structures keep complex test series manageable, and thanks to full integration capability, the software can be flexibly integrated into existing toolchains - whether research, development, or quality assurance. Transfer path analysis, in particular, has been enhanced with the new release and now offers a unique range of options and unparalleled user-friendliness.

Blocked Forces reinvented

A key topic in NVH projects is Transfer Path Analysis (TPA). Blocked forces, as defined in ISO 20270, provide the key to characterizing the vibroacoustic properties of excitation sources, regardless of the installation situation. HEAD acoustics has been making work with blocked forces easier and more efficient since 2018. ArtemiS SUITE 17 now supports the entire process, from interactive measurement planning in the 3D model to the standard-compliant determination and evaluation of interface quality using the Interface Completeness Criterion Plus (ICC+). This allows development teams to link blocked forces results directly to different target systems and evaluate them at an early stage.

Virtual points close measurement gaps

With Virtual Point Transformation (VPT), a second key technology is being introduced. It allows forces, moments, and translational and rotational accelerations to be derived within a TPA model at points that were previously inaccessible by metrology. After the calculation, quality metrics indicate the reliability of the results. This provides even less experienced users with a solid foundation for informed decision-making.

Release 17: The accelerator

With ArtemiS SUITE 17.0, HEAD acoustics takes Transfer Path Analysis to a new level of efficiency. The platform relieves users and provides decision-makers with tangible facts. The new TPA capabilities cover the entire path from the source to the ear—the result: more precise results, faster decisions, and better products
